There was no place like Gnome for some Nosework fun!

The theme of this fun trial was gnomes, and we were very fortunate to have one of our class members offer her beautiful farm property and barn setting for the event.

Two levels were offered: Advanced and Novice. The advanced level included one hide in each element: vehicle, container, interior and exterior, along with two additional unknown hides. The Novice level also included one hide in each of the four elements. Each hide was paired for the dogs but unknown to the handlers, adding an extra element of excitement to every search!

The trial began at 8:30 a.m., and all searches were completed by noon. Ribbons were awarded for each element successfully found, and prizes were presented to the top five teams in each level. A special thank-you goes to two of our class participants for providing the fun Nosework prizes as well as our talented knitter, who created the adorable gnomes awarded as the Judges’ Choice prize for each level.

We could not have asked for a more beautiful day. The weather was wonderful, the dogs and handlers had a great time, and everyone helped make the event fun and successful. As always, teamwork makes the dream work and keeps us on time!!
